– 11-a-side Games approximately every fortnight from Sept-May.
CRICKET
– Games approximately once per month between May & Sept.
Purpose:
FOOTBALL
– The Cottagers have been playing in a local friendly ‘league’ for about 12-13 years. Ostensibly a ‘vets’ (over-35’s) league but we do have some younger blood; playing vs. teams such as Sibford, Honington, Kineton, Ilmington, Tiddington, Deddington, Ettington etc. (basically everywhere within a ~20 mile radius that ends in -ton). Home pitches are Sibford School & Brailes.
CRICKET
– See above…a few of the football lads are also cricketers. We usually play home & away games vs. Sibford & Long Compton & one or two other teams.
Always on the lookout for keen new players for both squads, of any standard & fitness level. We’ve a good bunch of lads & as often as we can retire to the Stag’s Head after a match.
