Swalcliffe Support Group – Are you affected by coronavirus?

Swalcliffe Support Group

Are you affected by coronavirus?

Dear Swalcliffians

Coronavirus is having an effect on all our lives, so we need to support each other. We are announcing the launch of the Swalcliffe Support Group.
This group aims to offer help and support to anybody in the village who needs it, including anyone in self isolation .
The support can cover almost anything, but  some of the areas we can help with are:

  • Helping with shopping
  • Posting mail
  • Helping to get urgent supplies
  • It also includes keeping in contact and friendly phone calls (particularly important for people stuck on their own).

Over 25 people in the village have already volunteered to be part of this group.
Below is listed a telephone number and email address for the group coordinator.  If you need any help, phone or email and tell us what you need. The coordinator will then link you up with one of the village volunteers who contact you direct.
Please be assured that we will be taking relevant precautions. We will be avoiding physical contact (maintaining a 2 metre distance from people), washing our hands regularly, and any items brought to you will be left on your doorstep.
I hope you will find this new service useful, and keep safe.
