Latest update on Sugarnet Broadband in the village
Village Hall meeting, held on Tuesday 4th April at 7.30pm
Meet Oliver Helm and his team from Sugarnet attended to discuss their plans for a hi-speed broadband service designed to serve the village and local area.
The Parochial Church Council has very kindly agreed that the church tower can be used to broadcast their wireless based broadband service; which means that we will have an alternative to the existing cable based system, and at competitive prices. We are awaiting the sign off of the form which should come through any day now.
Sugarnet is a local company based in Shenington specialising in rural hi- speed broadband with an extensive network in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire.
Whilst this development arises from a village initiative it is clearly for you personally to consider whether this is something you wish to subscribe to. The meeting is designed to give you the chance to find out all that you need to know to help you make that decision.
So far about 23 Swalcliffe residents have expressed an interest in signing up with Sugarnet and if you want to learn more about their technology and service please look at their website www.sugarnet.co.uk or call them on 0845 235 1010.
